Note:
1. Accommodation for 2027 will be determined by the availability of on-campus apartments of that time. If there are not enough rooms on campus, you may rent one apartment outside campus.
2. Applicants who submit all materials on the application website and complete the registration fee payment will be deemed to have successfully registered. After successful registration, regardless of the subsequent admission results, the registration fee will not be refunded.
Scholarships for Chinese Language Program
USTB offers scholarships based on merit to help outstanding international students study in China.
Chinese Government Scholarship
The scholarship includes tuition fees, free accommodation, living allowance, and medical insurance.
Type-A: Apply for a one-year General Scholar (with major of Chinese Language) through the Chinese embassy in your country. The application period is generally from November to March of the following year. Please check in advance. Applicants should choose “USTB” as the first choice when applying in the system. You can contact our school via email to apply for a pre-admission notice.
International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship
The scholarship includes tuition fees, free accommodation, living allowance, and medical insurance.
Provide funding for one academic year or one semester of Chinese Language Program。
Applicants can log in to http://cis.chinese.cn/account/login and apply, search for recommended agencies, apply, and obtain a recommendation letter. Choose "University of Science and Technology Beijing" as your first choice for applying. For more details, please consult our school.
Scholarship for Pre-degree Program
Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students
The scholarship has three categories (Category A, Category B and Category C), providing support such as tuition waiver and accommodation fee waiver.
Application Requirements
Pre-degree students: under the age of 24 upon enrollment, with at least HSK Level 3;
- For Category B and Category C applicants: the institution where the applicant obtained their previous degree should, in principle, be a key high school, with an average score of no less than 80/GPA 3.0.
- For Category A applicants: the institution where the applicant obtained their previous degree should, in principle, be a key high school in their home country, with an average score of no less than 85/GPA 3.6.
Apply to USTB directly between November 1st and June 15th of the following year.
